FAQS

I offer a safe and welcoming space for you to relax, unwind and recharge

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?

After you have booked your first treatment with me I am available to speak with you prior to your appointment if you have any questions or want to bring anything to my attention before your appointment.

On arrival at my treatment room I will spend some time talking to you about your general health, your aims for the treatment and I will go through your consultation form which you will be prompted to complete when making your booking. The form is there to ensure you do not have any contraindications (medical and health reasons whereby it wouldn't be safe for us to carry out massage). It is alsi a chance for you to share anything you feel would be beneficial for me to know so that we can work towards your goal for your time with me.

I will ask you to remove your clothing except your underwear (I usually suggest bras or crop tops are removed for ease of massaging shoulders and arms) and I will leave the room to give you privacy to do so. Please let me know if you do not want a part of your body massaged i.e. your feet, face or head. Please wear lose clothing and nothing too special as sometimes there is transfer of oil from your body to your clothes. This will come off when washed.

I ask that you try to cover yourself best with the towels or sheet. I will check you are comfortable for me to re-enter the room after which I will adjust the towels or sheet and we will begin the massage. I will check the pressure is comfortable and ask you to let me know if you want more or less pressure during the massage.

I provide music but if you have a favourite artists, genre or playlist you wish me to use please let me know in advance including anything else that helps you to relax. During the massage I will pull back the towel or sheet to reveal the part of the body (leg, arm, back etc.) that I am about to massage.

I will tell you when the massage is complete and leave the room to give you time to redress. Once you are comfortable for me to return to the room I will check in with you to ask how you feel and to discus a massage treatment plan.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?

Ideally you will have refrained from consuming alcohol and drinking too much caffeine prior to your massage. I can not massage you if you are under the influence of any narcotics or alcohol. Wear lose clothing that is easy to take off and put back on. If any oil transfers to your clothes it is easily removed from washing.

DO YOU HELP TREAT CLIENTS WITH TERMINAL OR CHRONIC ILLNESS?

Absolutely. Massage can help reduce stress, anxiety, pain and aid greater sleep whilst working well alongside any current plan of treatment. Please get in contact to discus. I may need written consent from your medical practitioner.

If you have any mobility issues or access requirements please do get in touch with me prior to your appointment so I can try to accommodate you as best as possible.
